Our place, Indesign Designers Pvt Ltd, is over at 44 Chetla Road. It's right in the Alipore area, which is a busy spot in Kolkata. We’ve been at this address for a while now. The office is basically just a room filled with design books, samples of tile, and a couple of computers that have seen better days. We do a lot of interior work, mostly around this part of town. Chetla Road can get pretty crowded, especially during the festivals, but we like being in the middle of it. We don't have a corporate office with a lobby. It’s just a workspace where we get things done. We usually have the radio on or just the sound of the street coming through the window. It’s a bit cramped when we have all our samples out, but it works for us. We aren't into fancy presentations or big talk. We just sit down with people and figure out what they want their house to look like. Sometimes we spend hours just arguing over a specific shade of blue or where a light should go. It’s just what we do. Kolkata-700027 is a good base for us. We know the local vendors around here, so getting materials isn't too hard. It’s a straightforward business, no frills, just us working on Chetla Road. The tea guy comes by at four, which is usually the best part of the afternoon. We have a lot of dusty blueprints in the corner.
