Archmetry

You can find us at number 27, Ramchandra Colony, on the ground floor. We are located on Jameslong Sarani in the Barisha area of Kolkata. It is pretty easy to spot since we are near Barisha Asar Vidyapith For Girls. The office at Archmetry is usually quite a busy place, but in a quiet sort of way. We do a lot of architectural work, which basically means we spend our hours staring at screens and paper, trying to make lines turn into real buildings. It’s a lot of back and forth with clients and sometimes things don’t go exactly to plan on the first try. We have to adjust things, move walls on paper, and rethink the way light hits a room. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of employees. It’s just a local team doing honest work for people in the city. The ground floor office makes it easy for people to just walk in and have a chat about what they need. Sometimes the street outside gets noisy with the school nearby, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't try to be something we’re not. We just like designing spaces that people can actually use without any fuss. It’s practical work that requires a lot of patience, and we have plenty of that most days. We focus on the drawings and the site visits, keeping things simple and direct. Every project is just another puzzle for us to solve in our own way.
