K. P. Lane is one of those narrow spots in Salkia where you really have to know where you’re going. Our address is 67/1/5, and we’ve been operating out of here for a good while. Howrah has its own character, very different from Kolkata across the river. It’s busy, a bit dusty, and always full of people moving somewhere fast. At Hcl Infosystems Ltd, we try to keep things simple. Our office isn't one of those high-rise places. It’s more of a ground-level reality. We handle a lot of technical work, sitting amongst boxes and old monitors that are waiting to be looked at. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time between all the tasks we have. We’ve got a small team, and we all know how each other likes their tea. It’s the kind of place where the door is usually open to catch a breeze, even if it brings in the street noise. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; you usually just walk in and find one of us hunched over a motherboard or a stack of papers. It’s about getting the work finished. We stay focused on the day-to-day operations and making sure we don't fall behind on the local projects we've got going on in the Howrah area. It’s just us doing what we can with the tools we have, every single day without making too much fuss.
