You can find us over in Ramrajatala, right near Hatpukur in Howrah. Function Campaigning Hoarding & Leaflet Design is a local shop where we focus on physical advertising materials. We don't have a fancy studio with air conditioning running all day. Most of the time, the shop is open to the street and we are busy working on the computers or checking the prints coming off the machines. We do a lot of hoardings and those small leaflets you see stuck to walls or handed out at the railway station. It is a very hands-on kind of job. The smell of ink and the sound of the printers are just part of our daily life. We do the layouts and the designs ourselves. It is not always perfect, and sometimes we have to redo a whole batch of flyers if the color doesn't look right. We know the local area well, so we understand where people are likely to see a hoarding. Howrah is a busy place, and getting noticed isn't always easy. We just try to make things clear and easy to read. The office is usually cluttered with rolls of paper and cans of paint. We have a small staff and we all do a bit of everything, from answering the phone to helping with the installations. It’s hard work, especially when we have to put up a big sign in the rain. But we like being part of the neighborhood and seeing our work up on the local streets.
