Faiz Enterprises

If you ever find yourself on Tiretta Bazar Street, you’ll find us at number 21. It’s a cramped street, always full of people and vendors. Faiz Enterprises is right in the thick of it. We’ve been in this building for years, and it definitely shows its age, but it’s home for us. The morning starts with opening up the shutters and letting some air in. It gets quite busy outside by ten, with all the shouting and the smells from the nearby food stalls. Inside, we have our stock piled up. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. It’s more of a warehouse feel with a couple of desks shoved in the front. We spend most of our time answering the phone and writing out bills. Sometimes a customer drops by to pick something up, and we have a quick chat. We don’t use any fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still done in ledgers. It feels more real that way. The lights flicker occasionally when the neighbors turn on their heavy machinery, but we don't mind. It's a good place to work because everyone knows everyone else on this block. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily trade. It’s nothing spectacular, just the way we earn our living here.
