Ericsson India Ltd

Ericsson India Ltd is up here in Shimla at Sudesh Cottage. We are in the Sanjauli area, which is known for being quite steep and crowded. Working out of a cottage is a bit different than a standard office building. It has a lot more character and the air is much cooler than down in the plains. In the winter, we all have to bundle up because it gets really cold inside the cottage. We have a few small heaters around the desks to keep our hands warm enough to type. Sanjauli can be a tough place to find parking, so most of us just walk up the hills to get here. It’s good exercise, though we are usually out of breath by the time we reach the door. The views from the windows are amazing when the clouds clear up. We can see the mountains and the other houses clinging to the hillsides. Our setup is pretty basic inside. We don't have any flashy furniture or high-tech decor. It’s just a place to get the job done. We drink a lot of hot tea throughout the day to stay warm. It’s a quiet environment, which is nice for concentrating on work. Sometimes the monkeys on the roof make a bit of a racket, but we are used to that by now. It is just a simple, hardworking office in a beautiful part of Himachal Pradesh.
