It’s a residential building, so it feels more like a home than a stiff office. There’s a bit of a climb up to the second floor, but once you’re inside, it’s a standard setup with enough room for everyone to work. The flat has a few different rooms that we’ve turned into workspaces. It’s nice because it isn't too noisy, and we can actually hear ourselves think. We do a lot of media work here, though you wouldn't necessarily know it from looking at the outside of the building. We’ve got our computers and some basic equipment, and that’s about it. There’s a small balcony where some of us go to catch a bit of air when things get busy. The neighborhood around Bade Raipur Road is typical for this part of Kolkata—lots of small shops and people going about their business. We don't have a big lobby or a receptionist in a suit. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just opens it. It’s a simple, honest way to work, and being in a flat makes the long hours feel a little less tiring for the whole team.
