Emcons

You can find Emcons at 21/2, Gariahat Road (West) in Kolkata. We are right in the Jodhpur Park area, which is a nice part of the city to be in. The office is a bit hidden away, but once you find the right gate, it’s easy enough. We’ve been here for a while. It’s not a huge operation. We mostly deal with consultancy and helping people figure out their business problems. We spend our days in a fairly small room filled with books and papers. The walls are a bit plain, and the lighting could be better, but it’s where we do our best thinking. Kolkata has a way of being very loud and very quiet at the same time, and our office feels like that too. Some days are frantic with meetings, and other days we just sit and work through files in silence. We don’t have any fancy marketing people or a big sales team. We just rely on the work we’ve done and the people who know us. It’s a very traditional way of doing things. We take our tea breaks seriously and usually talk about the local neighborhood news. It’s a comfortable place to work, even if it’s a bit old-fashioned. We like the pace of life here in Jodhpur Park.
