Our office for Eastern Setcrete Pvt Ltd is located at 114/2 Bidhan Sarani in Kolkata. Bidhan Sarani is one of those streets that never seems to sleep. There are trams, buses, and thousands of people passing by our door every day. We are in an old building that has seen a lot of years. We deal with construction materials, specifically things related to concrete. It’s a niche business, but there is always demand for it in a city like Kolkata where something is always being built or repaired. The office is narrow and long, filled with samples and technical papers. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy speeches. We just talk to the contractors and builders who come in. Sometimes the noise from the street is so loud we have to shout a bit to be heard over the phone. The monsoon season is always a challenge because the water can collect on the road outside, making it hard for people to reach us. But we just keep the doors open and do what needs to be done. We’ve been here long enough that most of the local shopkeepers know us. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just provide the materials and keep the records straight. It’s a lot of paper work and phone calls, but it’s what we know how to do best. We just keep at it every single day.
