We are located at 6/52 Bijoygarh in Kolkata. It is a well-known neighborhood in the southern part of the city. Our business, which we just call Consultancy, has been based in this building for quite a while. The street outside is usually full of people walking to the local market or heading to the bus stand. Our office is on the ground floor, which makes it easy for people to just walk in when they have a question. It is not a very big space, just a couple of rooms with desks and some chairs for visitors. We have stacks of files everywhere because we still do a lot of things on paper. The light in the back room isn't great, so we usually keep the front door open to let some sun in. We help people with various things that come up in their work or personal lives. It’s a quiet kind of work, mostly involving reading through documents and filling out forms. We don't wear suits or anything like that; usually, it’s just casual clothes because of the Kolkata heat. Everyone knows everyone else around here, so we often spend time chatting with the neighbors who pass by. It is a very local operation. We don't have a fancy website or a big sign outside. Sometimes the cats from the street wander in through the door and we have to shoo them out. It’s just one of those things about being in Bijoygarh.
