Comtel Technologies is based over at 1/101 Dr M. N Saba Road in Kolkata. It's a pretty busy part of the city, and our office is right in the middle of it. We deal with tech stuff, mostly computers and parts, and helping people figure out their networking issues. We aren't some giant corporation with hundreds of floors; we're just a team in a local building trying to keep things running. People come to us when their systems aren't working right or they need a new setup for their small shop. We've been here for a while, and the neighborhood knows us. It’s a lot of tinkering and troubleshooting. Sometimes a repair takes longer than we thought, but we just stick with it until it's fixed. Kolkata is a place where you have to be patient with the traffic and the noise, and it’s the same with technology. We don't use big words to describe what we do. If a computer is broken, we try to fix it. If a network is slow, we look at the cables. The 700074 area is where we live and work, so we see the same faces every day. It’s a practical way to earn a living in India. We keep some stock of parts on the shelves and answer the phone when it rings. It’s just us, Comtel, working on Saba Road every day.
