Chiji Event

Our little office is at 10/3 Ram Banerjee Lane in Kolkata - 700012. It’s a tight squeeze in the lane, but we’ve made a home here. Chiji Event is where we sit and plan out all the logistics for the parties and functions we help with. The room is usually filled with samples of stuff—ribbons, cards, different types of paper. It’s not very tidy, but we know where everything is. We spend a lot of time on our mobiles trying to track down suppliers or checking on deliveries. The neighborhood is very old-school Kolkata, which we like. There’s always someone shouting down the lane or a vendor passing by with a cart. It’s a lively place to be. We don't have a fancy boardroom, we just use the main table for everything. Sometimes we have to move boxes just to find a place to sit and have a cup of tea. It’s a small team here, just a few of us who have known each other for a long time. We don't go in for big mission statements or anything like that. We just want to get the events done right without any major disasters. It’s a bit stressful sometimes, but being in this lane keeps us grounded. It’s a real place with real people, and that suits us just fine. Every day is different but the lane stays the same and we like it.
