Chaitalee Silk Screen Printing

We are located at No. 5- B, Ramnath Biswas Lane. This is Chaitalee Silk Screen Printing. Silk screen is a bit different than the digital stuff people see everywhere now. It takes more time and you get your hands dirty with the frames and the squeegees. We have been doing this for a while in this little corner of the lane. It can get pretty messy with the paints and the cleaning fluids. The ink needs to sit right on the material and this is how we do it. We do a lot of different things, not just paper. Some days it is bags, other days it might be something else someone brought in. The space here isn't huge, so we have to be organized with where we put things to dry. You have to be patient with screen printing. You cannot rush the drying or the alignment. People who live around Ramnath Biswas Lane know us by now. We don't really do much advertising because the work usually speaks for itself when someone sees it. It is just a small operation. We spend our time mixing colors to get them just right. Sometimes we get a big order that keeps us busy for a week, and other times it is just small bits and pieces. It is honest work and we like the feeling of the finished product once it is all dry and stacked up. It is a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it works for us and keeps us going.
