Cascade Electricals

We are over at 16 Sashibhusan Banerjee Road, in the Barisha Silpara area of Kolkata. Our shop has been a part of this neighborhood for a long time, and we have seen the streets change quite a bit over the years. We deal with electrical supplies and services, so the place is usually packed floor to ceiling with switches, wires, bulbs, and all sorts of hardware. It is a bit dusty and the shelves are crowded, but we know exactly where everything is located. Kolkata is a city that appreciates things that have been around for a while, and we think our shop fits right in. We are not a modern showroom with bright lights and glass displays. We are a practical electrical store where people come when they need a specific part or some advice on a repair. The street outside is narrow and can get very crowded, especially during the festival seasons. We know most of our neighbors and the people who live in the surrounding lanes. We just open the shutters in the morning, sweep the front, and wait for the first customer to arrive. It is a traditional way of doing business, without any of the fancy talk you get in the newer parts of the city. We just provide what is needed and keep the lights on for the people in Barisha Silpara.
