Car Club

If you find yourself in Bowbazar, near the old Hind Cinema, you’ll likely see us. Car Club is tucked away at 37 Malanga Lane. It’s a bit of an old-school area, and the lanes can be very narrow, but there’s a lot of life here. We’ve been operating out of this spot for quite a while now. Mostly, we deal with anything to do with cars. People stop by to ask questions or see what we have available that week. Being opposite the cinema means there’s always people moving around and a bit of a buzz. Sometimes the noise from the street gets into the shop, but we don't mind it much. It’s just part of being in Bowbazar. We aren't one of those big, shiny dealerships you see in the newer parts of the city. We’re more of a local fixture. My dad used to say that if you treat people okay, they’ll keep coming back, so that’s what we do. We spend our mornings cleaning up the space and checking our lists of what needs doing. It’s honest work. The building is older, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon, but it feels like home to us. We know the regulars who walk past every morning for their work. If you need to find us, just look for the lane across from Hind Cinema and keep walking until you see number 37. We’re usually around until the sun goes down and the traffic thins out.
