Alpha Auto Centre

Alpha Auto Centre is located on the first floor at 8 Mangoe Lane, right near the Calcutta GPO. This is one of those old parts of the city where the streets are narrow and there is a lot of history in the buildings. Our shop has been around for a long time and we have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. We focus on auto parts and helping people get their vehicles back on the road. The space is filled with boxes and parts for all kinds of cars. It might look a bit cluttered to an outsider, but we know exactly where everything is. We don't have a fancy showroom or shiny glass windows. It is a traditional Calcutta business through and through. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep, but plenty of people make the trip every day. We talk to a lot of mechanics and car owners who are looking for specific bits and pieces that are hard to find elsewhere. We don't go for big advertisements; our customers usually find us because their fathers or friends used to come here. It is honest work and we enjoy the daily chatter with the locals who stop by for a bit of advice or a part. Mangoe Lane is always buzzing with activity, and we are happy to be a small part of that scene near the main post office. It’s just how we’ve always done things here, keeping the cars running and the shop open for whoever needs help.
