Ayan Ghatak

I work out of North Bharatnagar, in the Sramik Nagar area, specifically in Ward No.- 24. Ayan Ghatak is basically just me and a couple of others handling local tasks and projects. It’s not a big corporate building; it’s more of a local workspace in a residential part of town. The streets here are narrow, so parking can be a real problem if you aren't careful. I usually have my workspace set up with all my tools and papers scattered around. It looks like a mess to anyone else, but I have a system. The neighbors are mostly families, so you hear kids playing outside and people talking across balconies. It’s a very grounded place to work. I don't have a formal schedule. I usually start early when it’s still cool and work until I get tired or the light goes. Sometimes I have to go out to meet people or check on things around the ward. Being in Ward 24 means I know the local shops and the people who run them quite well. We often share tea and talk about the neighborhood. It’s a very personal way of working. I don't use any fancy marketing. People usually just find me through word of mouth or because they live nearby. It’s a quiet way to make a living and I like being my own boss in my own neighborhood.
