Avikmondal

My name is Avik Mondal and I am located over at 27 South Road in the Sontoshpur area of Jadavpur. Kolkata is a crowded city but this neighborhood is where I have my setup. It is right in the West Bengal region where I grew up and went to school. The office is just a small room on the ground floor of the building. I spend most of my time here looking at papers and talking to people who come in. It is not a very quiet place because of the traffic on South Road, but you get used to the noise after a while. I have been at this address for several years now. Most of my neighbors know me by name. I keep the place open during normal hours, though sometimes I stay late if there is a lot of work to finish up before the weekend. I don't have a lot of fancy furniture, just a desk, a couple of chairs, and some shelves for my files. Jadavpur is a good place to be because everything is close by. You can find tea stalls and little shops just a short walk away. I handle the work myself and try to keep things moving along as best as I can. It is a regular job and I like being in this part of the city. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit messy, but that's Kolkata for you. I just keep my head down and work.
