Working out of 100/1 1A Regent View Apartments can be interesting because it doesn’t really feel like a typical hotel office. We are up on the 1st floor, so we see everyone coming and going from the other apartments in the complex. Kolkata-40 is a busy area, but once you step inside the gates here, it gets a little quieter. The stairs can be a bit of a climb if you’re carrying a lot of heavy files, but we’re used to it. Our space is functional, filled with desks and a few old filing cabinets that have seen better days. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at booking schedules for the different hotels. It’s mostly just a group of us trying to keep things organized. The lighting isn’t the best on rainy days, but we have enough lamps to keep going. We don’t really do anything fancy here; it’s just the back-end stuff that keeps everything running. Sometimes the neighbors pop in to say hello or ask a random question. We like being part of a residential building because it feels more like a home than a cold glass building. There’s a tea shop just down the street where we usually go for lunch breaks. It’s a simple setup, and it works for what we need to do. Every morning starts with a lot of noise from the street, and we just dive into the emails and get to work.
