Anjan Kumar Biswas

Our office is located at 42/4/4, Bhagabati Charan Chatterjee Street in Belghoria, Kolkata. Anjan Kumar Biswas is the name on the records. This is an old part of the city, and the street name is quite a mouthful for people who aren't from around here. It’s a narrow lane with old buildings standing close to each other. Our place is on the ground floor, which makes it easy for people to walk in. Kolkata can be very humid, so we usually have the windows open to catch any breeze, even if it brings in the noise of the neighborhood. There’s a lot of character in this street. You can hear the sounds of the local market and the occasional bell from the temple nearby. We have a lot of old files and some wooden cabinets that are probably older than I am. We don't have a modern interior design or anything like that. It’s just a functional space where we get things done. We drink a lot of tea, mostly the strong kind from the stall down the road. Sometimes the rain gets so heavy that the street floods a bit, but we just keep working through it. Belghoria is a tight-knit community, and we feel very much a part of it. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of people helping out with the daily grind. It’s honest work in a very old-school Kolkata setting.
