If you come to 167/4 Lenin Sarani, you have to head up to the 3rd floor to find Amilak Intl. It’s a busy area, very central, and there is always a lot of shouting and horns honking from the street below. Our office is a bit quieter once you get inside, but not by much. We’ve been operating from this floor for quite a while. The space is filled with files, samples, and the general clutter of an international business. We don't have fancy glass walls or expensive furniture. It’s a practical workspace meant for getting things done. We spend most of our time dealing with international time zones, which means some of us stay late or come in very early. It’s not a glamorous job. We spend a lot of time arguing with shipping agents or double-checking the labels on boxes. The lift in the building doesn't always work, so we’ve all gotten pretty good at the stairs. We don't have a mission statement hanging on the wall. We just know that if we don't get the paperwork right, things don't move. It’s a lot of responsibility but we’ve gotten used to the pressure. Most of us have lived in the city our whole lives, so we know how to navigate the chaos of Lenin Sarani. We just keep our heads down and do the work until it’s time to lock up.
