We’re over at 62 Nabanagar in Jadavpur. This part of Kolkata is always buzzing because of the university and all the students around. Our office is a simple place, not some high-rise corporate tower. We focus on recruitment and helping people find jobs. It’s mostly just us sitting at our desks, making phone calls and sorting through resumes all day. The room is often filled with the sound of several people talking at once. We have a small balcony where we go to get some air when it gets too stuffy inside. It’s not a fancy setup. The furniture is a bit mismatched and we use old filing cabinets that have been here forever. We don't have a receptionist, so we just shout for whoever is needed when someone walks in. Most of us take the local train or a rickshaw to get here. Jadavpur has a certain energy that we like, even if the streets are narrow and crowded. We don't spend money on big advertisements or marketing. Word of mouth usually brings people to our door. We deal with all sorts of people looking for work, and it keeps things interesting. Some days are slow, and other days we can't even find time to eat lunch. We just take it as it comes. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished image. We’re just here to get the work done in our little corner of Nabanagar.
