Vishwakarma Udyog

Our place is out in MIDC Gokul Shirgaon, specifically Plot No E-8. If you know the area, you know it’s mostly just rows of sheds and the sound of metal hitting metal. We’ve been at this spot for years. It’s a dusty part of town, and the roads aren't always the best after a heavy rain. Inside Vishwakarma Udyog, it’s mostly just us working on whatever projects are lined up for the week. There is no receptionist at the front. You usually have to walk past the machines to find someone in the small office cabin at the back. We do a lot of heavy work here. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings or oil, so you have to watch your step. We take our lunch breaks together outside when the weather allows. It's quieter than the city, but the work is steady. We don’t really do much in terms of decorating the office. There are just some old calendars on the wall and a lot of technical manuals stacked on the shelves. Most of the guys here have been with us a long time. We know each other’s habits. If the power goes out, we just sit and wait it out, maybe grab a snack from the vendor down the road. It’s just a regular workshop doing regular work. We don't have a big corporate setup. We just open the shutters in the morning and get to it.
