You can find us at Maharana Pratap Chowk in Sonawar Peth, which is a busy part of Kolhapur. We handle lights and mandap decorations for all kinds of local events. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and most of the neighbors know us by now. The work is mostly manual labor. We spend our days hauling bamboo poles, heavy drapes, and crates of decorative lights. It is tiring work, especially when the sun is out, but we are used to it. We aren't a big company with a fleet of trucks; we just have what we need to get the job done. Often, it’s just me and a few workers from the neighborhood setting things up. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks. People usually just see our work at a wedding or a festival and then ask for our number. We try to be as helpful as we can. Sometimes the client wants something that we don’t have, so we have to go out and find it or make it ourselves. The warehouse can get pretty disorganized during the peak season when everything is coming and going at once. We do our best to keep track of it all. It’s a simple business built on hard work and being present in the community. We like being part of the celebrations in Kolhapur and seeing the mandap look good once the lights are finally turned on.
