Merasha Shapers is located at Plot No. A-48 in the Five Star MIDC area of Kagal. It’s a long drive out from the main city, but this industrial zone is where all the real work happens. Our factory is a big shed with high ceilings. We have various machines for shaping and manufacturing parts. It’s loud inside most of the time, so we have to shout to be heard. The workers are mostly from the nearby villages and they know their way around the equipment. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. When you walk in, you’re right there on the production floor. We spend our days looking at drawings and making sure the dimensions are correct. Sometimes a batch doesn't come out right and we have to figure out why. It’s frustrating but it's part of the job. The Kagal area is quite open, so it gets very dusty when the wind blows across the MIDC. We have a small office for the admin stuff, but most of us prefer being where the machines are. We keep things simple here. We make the parts, pack them up, and get them on the trucks. It’s a basic, honest way to earn a living in the manufacturing sector. We don't worry about being polished. We just worry about the quality of the work we finish each day.
