Finding Universal Gaskets is easy enough if you know where the Indo Count Textile building is in Gokul Shirgaon. We are right behind them at W-28 in the M.I.D.C area. It is a bit of a dusty corner of the estate, but it suits us fine. We work on gaskets, which are small things that people usually don't notice until they fail. Because of that, we have to be pretty careful with the cutting and the materials we use. The shop floor isn't massive, but we use every inch of it. There are stacks of material sheets leaning against the walls and the sound of cutting tools is constant. Sometimes the dust from the textile mill next door blows over, but we just sweep it out and keep going. We don't have a marketing team or anyone in a tie. Usually, it’s just the sound of the machines and the occasional truck backing into the lane to pick up a box. We’ve been at this spot for a while, and the routine hasn't changed much. We start early, check the orders from the day before, and get to work. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten quickly so we can get back to the machines. It is a simple life here in the industrial zone. We just try to make sure every gasket that leaves the door is exactly the size it is supposed to be. No shortcuts, just the usual daily grind.
