Slv Vidyalaya

If you're on Nh 207, you'll see Slv Vidyalaya Road leading right to our gate here in Chikkathirupathi. Being in the Kolar district, we get a lot of students from the nearby farms and small towns. The school building is pretty hard to miss if you are driving down the highway. It’s a basic setup but we make it work for everyone who comes here. We have different sections for the younger kids and the older ones. The staff lives in and around the area, so we are part of the community. We don’t have a big corporate office or a polished way of doing things. It’s more about the day-to-day teaching. Some mornings are quite cold, and we all huddle in the classrooms until the sun comes up properly. The playground is large enough for the kids to play cricket or run around. We focus on getting the books read and the homework done. People in Chikkathirupathi know us as a place where they can send their kids without much worry. We keep the gates locked during school hours for safety, and there’s always someone at the entrance to help out. It isn't a fancy private school with air conditioning, just a regular place with desks, chalkboards, and teachers who have been doing this for a long time. We have a small staff room where we drink tea and plan the next day's lessons. It’s a simple life and we are happy to be part of the local landscape. Our building is painted in plain colors.
