Ambuja Cements Limited

G-172 is our spot in the New North Colony of Ambujanagar. Being in Kodinar means we are right in the thick of the Junagadh heat most of the year. This part of the colony is a bit newer than the south side, but it still has that same industrial feel that defines the whole town. We spend our mornings checking lists and making sure the local logistics are sorted out. The office has a few heavy desks and chairs that have seen better days, but they serve the purpose well enough. We get a lot of dust from the plant blowing over, so wiping down the keyboards is the first thing we do every morning. It is a simple life here, focused on the daily output and making sure the supplies get where they need to go in the 362 715 pin code area. We do not have a big sign or anything, just the address on the door. People know where we are if they need anything related to the cement work. The neighbors are mostly co-workers, so you can't really go for a walk without talking shop. We keep a water cooler in the corner which is definitely the most popular spot in the room during the summer. There isn't any fancy lobby, just a wooden bench for people to sit on while they wait for their papers. It is a practical, hardworking environment and we don't really try to make it look like anything else.
