Jnanaganga Residential School

Jnanaganga Residential School is tucked away in Attur Village, near the Harangi Post in Kushalnagar. Since we are in Coorg, the surroundings are pretty green and nice. It’s a residential school, so the kids actually live here on the grounds. That means things never really stop; there is always someone around. The address is 571234 if you are trying to mail something to one of the students. We have dorms where they sleep and a dining hall where everyone eats together. It feels a bit like a small village of its own sometimes. In the mornings, you can hear the kids getting ready and heading to the classrooms. The walk from the living quarters to the school building isn’t long, but it’s a daily routine for everyone. Kushalnagar is a decent place to be, and being out in Attur Village makes it even quieter than the main town. We have some open space for playing and just being outside. The teachers often stay on campus too, so it’s a bit of a community. It’s not a perfect place, and things like plumbing or electricity can be a bit of a headache sometimes, like anywhere else in the countryside. But we manage it and keep the school going. It’s just a regular spot where kids grow up and go to class every day. Life here is simple and follows the rhythm of the seasons in Coorg.
