Steelane

You can find Steelane over at the Masjid Complex in Kuzhikkaatumoola, which is part of the Kakkanad area. We’ve been set up here for some time now. Being in the Masjid Complex makes it easy for people to explain where we are to their friends or delivery drivers. We mainly handle steel-related items and other materials used in building. The shop isn’t massive, but we make the most of the space we have. Kakkanad is a growing area, so there’s always something happening nearby with new houses going up. We get a lot of workers and local residents coming in to pick up supplies for their projects. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped when we have a lot of steel tubes or plates lying around waiting to be picked up. We try to keep it organized, but it’s a constant battle when new stuff is coming in every other day. It’s a noisy job sometimes, moving metal around and loading it onto trucks outside. We just do our work and don’t really worry about having a polished look. If someone needs steel, they come to us, and we see what we can find for them. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We don’t have a fancy office; it’s mostly just the warehouse and a small desk where we handle the paperwork. It’s an honest day’s work for us here, and we like being part of the community.
