Sastha Paints

Sastha Paints is located right here at number 58, near the Palliport Post Office in Ernakulam. It’s a small shop, and honestly, it gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock coming in. I’ve been working here for years now, and the routine is always the same. We open up early, sweep the floor, and wait for the first few people to walk in. Most folks around here are looking to fix up their houses. The shelves are packed with cans of all sizes. Sometimes it takes a minute to find the exact one someone is looking for, especially if it’s tucked away in the back. My clothes usually end up with some spots of white or yellow on them by the end of the day. It’s not a big corporate showroom with bright lights. It’s just a local place where we know most of our customers by their first names. The traffic near the post office can get quite loud, but we’re used to it by now. We spend a lot of time just talking to people about what they need for their walls or gates. It’s practical work. There isn't any fancy stuff here, just buckets of paint and some brushes. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us making sure everything stays organized enough to work. We just keep going, day after day, helping the local community get their painting done.
