Running K.M.G.C Waterproffing And Paints Pvt. Limited on M.G Road keeps us pretty busy every day. We are located right opposite Shenai Cho, which is a place most people around here can find easily. The shop always smells a bit like fresh paint and chemicals, but you get used to it after the first twenty minutes. My hands usually have a bit of white or blue stain on them by noon. M.G Road is always loud with horns and people rushing by, so it is never quiet in the shop. We spend a lot of time talking to folks who have leaks in their ceilings or want to change the color of their front room. It is not glamorous work. Sometimes we are climbing over buckets of primer just to reach a specific brush someone asked for. The shelves are packed high, and it can be a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are inside at once. We have been in this spot for some time, watching the shops around us change owners while we just keep doing our thing. When the monsoon comes, things get even more frantic because everyone starts worrying about their roofs. We just try to keep enough stock on the floor and stay on top of the paperwork. It is a lot of lifting and moving stuff around, but that is the job.
