Galaxy Paints

If you head down Aranatukara Road toward Kalvari Junction, you’ll find our shop at 6M in the Poothole area. We’ve been selling paint and related supplies here for a good while. The shop usually smells like fresh tint and chemicals, which is something you just get used to after a week of working here. We have shelves lined with cans of every size. It’s not always the cleanest place because spills happen and dust from the road comes in through the front door. We spend a lot of time helping people pick out shades or explaining why one brush is better for a certain wall than another. It’s a lot of manual work, moving heavy crates and mixing colors until they look right. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy stuff for us. It’s just a local paint store where we try to keep the popular colors in stock. Sometimes we run out of something and have to wait for the next truck to come through the junction. The traffic outside can be a bit much during rush hour, but we’re usually too busy inside to notice. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. People come in with a scrap of paper or a piece of fabric trying to match a color, and we do our best to help them find a match.
