You can find Byline Home Novelties over at Flat No. 5-A in the Viewpoint Apartment. We are tucked away on Palliparambu Lane. It’s a bit more of a residential setting than some other businesses. We use the space to manage our novelty items. It’s a private limited setup, but it feels more like a small family thing inside. Boxes are stacked against the walls in the rooms. We spend a lot of time checking the items and packing them up for people. It’s quiet in the apartment building, which we like. We don't get many walk-in customers since we are on the fifth floor. Most of our work is done over the phone or through deliveries. The view from the balcony is actually pretty good, though we are usually too busy to look at it. We have a couple of desks squeezed into the main room. It gets a bit cramped when we have a big project going on. We handle all sorts of home novelties. We don't have a big corporate culture or anything like that. It’s just us working out of a flat, making sure the business keeps moving. It’s a simple way of doing things. We have coffee together in the small kitchen and talk about the next orders. It's how we stay busy without all the noise of a main street. It works for us and the neighbors don't seem to mind.
