Our Own Travel & Tourism

You can find us over at the Krishna Leela Building on Warriam Road in the Pallimukku area. Our Own Travel & Tourism is a small operation, and we like it that way. The office is right where all the action is, so there is never a quiet moment with all the buses and autos going by outside. We have a big window that looks out onto the street, but it gets quite dusty, so we have to wipe it down every other day. Inside, it’s mostly just desks covered in notebooks and printouts. We handle a lot of the local travel stuff and help people with their paperwork for trips. It isn't a corporate environment with people in suits. Most of us just wear comfortable clothes and sandals. The floor is made of old tiles that have seen a lot of footsteps over the years. We keep a small kettle in the corner for making tea, which we offer to anyone who drops by for a chat about their holiday plans. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we have to wait for pages to load, which gives us time to talk to the neighbors. Pallimukku is a good place to be because everything is close by. We don't do much advertising; most people just see our sign on the building or hear about us from a friend. We just try to get the bookings right and make sure nobody gets stuck at an airport. It is a lot of checking dates and names carefully.
