Madeena Supermarket

Madeena Supermarket is located right at Madayil Junction in Edappally. It’s a busy corner, and there’s always something going on outside. We aren't one of those massive malls, just a regular supermarket where you can get what you need for the house. We spend a lot of time unpacking boxes and putting things on the shelves. It seems like as soon as we finish one aisle, another one needs filling. We carry the usual stuff—rice, oil, soaps, and whatever else people ask for. If someone wants something we don't have, we try to remember to get it next time the truck comes. The aisles are a bit narrow, so it can get tight when it’s busy in the evenings. We know the people from the apartments nearby. They pop in for a loaf of bread or some milk on their way home. We don't have a fancy checkout system, just a simple counter where we talk to the customers while we bag their things. Edappally has changed a lot over the years, with more traffic and new buildings, but we’ve stayed pretty much the same. We open early and close late, seven days a week. It’s a lot of hours, but that’s what it takes to run a shop like this. We don't do big sales or loud advertisements. We just keep the shelves stocked and the lights on for whenever someone needs something. It's just us here most days, making sure everything is ready.
