Palakunnel Distributors

We run Palakunnel Distributors out of Nellikuzhi in Ernakulam district. Our location is pretty easy to describe—we are right near the Salafi Masjid. Being close to the mosque means there is a nice rhythm to the day with people coming and going for prayers. We mostly handle distribution work, so our days are filled with loading and unloading goods. It’s a lot of repetitive work, moving crates and checking invoices, but it keeps us busy. The area around Nellikuzhi is quite green and it feels a bit more relaxed than the middle of the city. Still, we have plenty to do. We have a small crew here, and we all pitch in with whatever needs doing. If the delivery truck is late, we just wait and have some tea. It's a very local operation. We know most of the people who live and work around this part of Ernakulam. Our warehouse isn't the biggest, so we have to be smart about how we stack things to make sure there is enough room to walk around. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized during the morning rush, but we usually have it sorted by the afternoon. We don’t have a website or any of that stuff; people just call us or stop by the gate if they need something. It’s a simple way to make a living and we’ve been doing it this way for a long time now.
