Kaloor Metals is situated on Cloth Bazar Road, specifically within the Abdullah Estate. Being in a bazaar area means it is always crowded. There are people everywhere and handcarts pushing through the lanes. Our spot in Abdullah Estate is tucked in there with all the other traders. It’s not the easiest place to reach with a big vehicle, but we make it work. We deal with all kinds of metals. The shop is full of scrap and new pieces piled up high. It smells like iron and copper in here. We don't have a lot of room to move around, so you have to be careful where you step. The estate itself is old. The walls have some cracks and the paint is peeling, but it’s a solid place. We’ve been here for a long time. Cloth Bazar Road has its own rhythm. It starts loud in the morning and stays that way until dark. We usually have a small radio playing in the background, but you can barely hear it over the noise of the street. It’s a family-run kind of vibe. We handle the metal, weigh it, and sort it out. It’s messy work. Your clothes get stained and your hands get rough. But it’s what we know. We just show up, do the trades, and go home. That is life in the bazaar.
