Harrison Malayalam Ltd. is located over at 24/1624, Bristow Road on Willington Island. Being on the island means we are right in the middle of all the port activity. Kochi is busy, and you can hear the ships and the cranes most of the day. Our building is one of those older ones. It has seen a lot of history over the years. We have been here for a long time. The place has a certain smell of old paper and the sea air. We deal with a lot of different things, mostly focused on the traditional industries of this region. It’s a busy atmosphere with people coming and going from the harbor constantly. We don’t go in for anything too modern or flashy. The desks are heavy wood. Often, the windows are left open to catch a breeze from the water. It’s a lot of manual tracking of shipments. We have to keep up with the schedules of the vessels. Sometimes the traffic on the bridge makes it hard to get here in the mornings. Once you’re on the island, though, things have a steady and reliable pace. We aren't interested in big speeches. We just come in, handle the logistics, and make sure the accounts are settled. It’s a straightforward way of working that has kept us going through many changes. This island is just where we belong, doing the same kind of work we have always done.
