We are based in the Navabharath Enterprises Building over on Marar Road. It’s on Willingdon Island, specifically the II Cross area. If you know the island, you know it’s all about the port and moving things around, which is exactly what we do. The building is older and has that solid feel you find near the docks. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, phones, and a lot of logbooks. We spend most of our time tracking shipments and talking to drivers or port officials. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s often a bit of dust from the trucks passing by and the salty air from the water. We don’t have a fancy lobby with plants. It’s a working office. We’ve been at this spot for a while, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the ships coming in. Willingdon Island has its own character, and we’re just a small part of it. The guys in the office are usually busy on the phone trying to figure out where a container is or why a truck is late. We don’t use a lot of big words or marketing talk. We just tell people where their stuff is and when it will get there. It’s practical work. Sometimes the bridge traffic makes things slow, but we manage. It’s just how life is out here on the island. We stay until the last manifest is checked for the day. It keeps us busy enough.
