Abc Family Mart

Abc Family Mart. We’re right here in Giri Nagar, over in the Pallimukku area. The shop isn’t huge, but we try to pack a lot in. You’ll see shelves full of snacks, soaps, and all that regular stuff families need. Sometimes the narrow aisles get a bit crowded when two people have baskets, but everyone is usually patient. I started this because I saw people had to walk too far for small things. Now, they just pop in. The lighting is a bit bright, maybe too bright, but it helps see the labels. I spend a lot of time checking the expiry dates on the bread and eggs. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes around in the back room which is always a mess no matter how much I tidy it. My brother comes in during the evenings to handle the cash till. We have a small fridge for cold drinks that hums quite loudly. People like to stop and chat for a minute while they pay. It’s not a corporate place, just us running a store for the neighbors. Sometimes we run out of something popular and I have to call the distributor three times to get it back. That’s just part of the job. We keep a bowl of candies for the kids who come in with their parents. It makes the place feel a bit more like home for everyone who visits us daily.
