Our place is right there in the Manjali Building, not far from the KSRTC bus stand on Amman Kovil Road. It’s a busy area, always people moving around. Inside, things are usually focused on teaching folks how the hotel business actually runs. We spend a lot of time going over the basics, like how to set a table properly or how the front desk works during a rush. It isn’t always glamorous. There is a lot of cleaning and repetitive practice involved. Students come here from all over, looking to get a start in the industry. We try to keep the atmosphere practical. The building itself is easy to find if you know where the bus stand is. We’ve seen a lot of students pass through these halls over the years. Some are nervous when they start, but they get the hang of it after a few weeks of hands-on work. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just a school for people who want to work in hotels or restaurants. We have different classrooms for different subjects, and the instructors have been in the trade for a long time. It can get a bit crowded when classes are changing over, but we make it work. Just a regular spot on Amman Kovil Road doing our bit to help people learn a trade. It’s simple, honest work and we enjoy seeing the progress our students make every single week.
