Friendly Foods is right across from the NABARD Bank at plot no. 730 in Nayapalli. It’s a convenient spot for the bank employees and others working around Bhubaneshwar. We opened up here because the location seemed right and there were plenty of people looking for a place to eat during their lunch break. It is a straightforward operation. We don't have any fancy mission statements or slogans. We just show up in the morning, get the kitchen ready, and start cooking. The building is a standard plot, and we’ve made the best of the space we have. It can get a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have fans going. We see a lot of the same faces every day, which makes the work feel more personal. We don't spend money on big ads or social media. Usually, someone just tells their coworker about us. We have our regulars who always sit at the same table and order the same thing. Sometimes the supply truck is late and we have to scramble a bit to get everything ready, but that’s just part of running a small business. We keep things simple and try to stay organized. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s our job and we take it seriously enough. If you are near the bank in Nayapalli, you will see our place.
