Our company, Balumati Agro Farmers Producer Companylimited, is based right here in Balumati, near the primary school in Tenkaraipur. If you’re looking for us, we’re located at the home of Md Hassan Sk’s son. We aren't some big, polished outfit from the city. We’re just a bunch of local people who have been farming these lands for as long as we can remember. We started this group because we realized that we could do more if we worked together instead of trying to do everything separately. It makes it a bit easier to deal with the markets and the suppliers when you have a few more voices behind you. Life in Tenkaraipur is mostly about the rhythm of the seasons. We spend our days worrying about the heat or waiting for the rain to show up. Our meetings aren't very formal. We usually just gather near the school and talk about what needs to be done for the next harvest. We don't have a fancy website or any corporate slogans. We’re just honest people trying to make a living from the ground. Sometimes it’s a struggle, and we don't always get everything right, but we’re learning as we go. We care about this village and the families who live here. We just want to keep our farming traditions alive while finding a way to make the business side work for everyone involved in our little group.
