Aaiona Agro Producer Company Limited

We’re over in Garh Badaput, which is a bit of a trek if you aren't from around Puri. Aaiona Agro Producer Company Limited is a group of us coming together to try and get better results for our crops. Being a producer company means we spend a lot of time talking to other farmers in the Kanas area. Our main spot is at Plot No 1730/2776. It’s nothing special to look at, just a place where we meet and store some of our stuff. We deal with all sorts of things, mostly whatever is in season. Working in agriculture isn't for everyone. It’s long hours and your back usually hurts by the end of the week. But we’ve lived here all our lives, so it’s what we know. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure our families are taken care of and the crops are healthy. Sometimes we have meetings under the trees because it’s cooler than being inside. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just talk to people and do what we say we’re going to do. It’s about trust in a small place like this. The roads can be dusty and the sun is hot, but we keep at it. We’re just a bunch of local people working the land in Puri. It’s a hard life but it feels right to us. We just keep our heads down and worry about the next harvest.
