Sardar Patel University,V.V.Nagar

Our spot is at A-4, Sunrise Vatika, which is near the Arunoday Society Road in Vallabh Vidyanagar. We are tucked behind Bavisgam Vidyalay, so the whole area has a very student-friendly, academic feel to it. Being associated with Sardar Patel University means there is always something going on with classes or research. The office itself is in a residential-style building, which makes it feel a lot less stiff than a regular university department. We spend our days handling paperwork, coordinating with different departments, and talking to students who are trying to figure out their schedules. It is a lot of filing and checking lists, but it’s important for keeping the university side of things running. The area around Sunrise Vatika is quite nice with a bit of greenery, though the roads can get busy when school lets out. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just provide a space where the administrative tasks of the university can get done without too much distraction. Most of us have lived in Gujarat for a long time, so we are used to the pace of life here in V.V. Nagar. It’s a simple office where you can usually find someone having a cup of tea and looking over a stack of documents. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing, day in and day out, for the faculty and the students.
