Noor Food Industry

Our place is right near the bus station in Narsanda, which belongs to the Kheda district. Being so close to the station means there is always a crowd of people around. You can hear the conductors shouting and the buses pulling in at all hours. We handle a lot of food processing here, so the smell of spices or grains being milled is very strong. It’s a big open building with high ceilings and a lot of sacks piled up against the walls. We have a few machines that do most of the heavy work, but there is still plenty for us to do by hand. We wear aprons and hats to keep things clean while we work. The floor is swept several times a day but there is always a bit of dust in the air. We have a small area near the entrance where people can come to buy things directly. It’s mostly local people or travelers who have a bit of time before their bus leaves. We aren't a big factory with hundreds of people, just a local team of about ten workers. We all live in the surrounding village area. Sometimes the water supply is a bit slow or the machines need a lot of maintenance to keep going. We just take things as they come and try to get the orders ready on time for the trucks that pick them up.
