About Bharat Bricks – Building & Construction Material in Kharagpur
We've been at the Kharida Gate spot in Kharagpur for a good while now. It’s a busy place near the gate, and honestly, it gets pretty dusty with all the trucks pulling in and out throughout the day. Most days, we are just out there checking the stacks or talking to the drivers who bring the loads in. The weather in Paschim Midnapur can be tough, especially when it rains and everything turns to thick mud, but that is just part of the work we do. We keep a lot of bricks here. You can see them piled up high from the road as you drive past. My brother helps out with the counting and sometimes we lose track of time just trying to get things loaded before the sun goes down. People come by asking about prices or just to see what we have in the yard. It’s not fancy at all. There is a small desk where we keep the papers, but mostly we are on our feet on the ground. The neighbors know us well by now. We don’t do much else besides bricks. Sometimes the kiln is running hot and you can feel the heat from far away on a still day. It is just a regular business. We try to keep the red bricks tidy, but they are heavy and rough on the hands, so things get messy. Every morning starts with a cup of tea and then we get to moving the loads. It is hard labor, but it keeps the local town building things.
