Our shop, Sai Krishna Earth Movers Spare Parts, sits at 5/29 on the Sathupally Main Road. Being right on the main road means we get a lot of people stopping in while they are passing through Sathupalli. It’s a busy stretch of tarmac, so there is always the sound of engines in the background. We have been working out of this location for a good while, and the routine hasn't changed much. We start the day by checking what parts we sold yesterday and seeing what needs to be ordered. The shop floor is covered in shelves reaching up to the ceiling because we try to keep a bit of everything in stock. It can get pretty hot in the afternoons, but we just keep the fan going and carry on with the work. We aren't a big chain or anything, just a local spot where people come when they have a breakdown. There’s usually a bit of grease on the floor and some dust on the boxes, but that’s just the nature of the business. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations. Most of our effort goes into making sure the inventory is right. It’s a practical place for practical people who just want to get their machines fixed and back out on the road. We stay open pretty late sometimes if a customer is stuck. It is just part of being a neighbor in a place like Sathupalli where everyone works hard.
