Kanaka Durga Earth Movers

Kanaka Durga Earth Movers is located in Peddathanda Village, which is part of the Khammam Rural Mandal. We are at house number 9-71. We work with earth movers, so there is usually a lot of heavy machinery around the place. It's a dusty job and our clothes are rarely clean by the end of the day. We spend a lot of time out in the fields or at construction sites helping people move dirt and clear land. The village is a quiet place most of the time, except when we start up the engines in the morning. We have a small shed where we keep our tools and do some basic repairs on the machines. It’s not a polished corporate office by any means. We handle the paperwork on a small wooden desk that’s seen better days. Most of our work comes from people in the rural area who know us by name. They come by the house when they have a project and we talk it over. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend the whole day fixing them under the sun. It’s hard work, but we like being outdoors. We’ve lived in this part of Khammam for a long time and we know the land well. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just show up with the equipment and get the dirt moving. It is a tough way to earn a living but we stay at it.
